An EdTech product built on spaced repetition

Revomia builds its product around spaced repetition — a method whose effect has been studied in experimental psychology since the Ebbinghaus experiments and confirmed by the Cepeda et al. meta-analysis of 2006. The niche sits where EdTech meets the daily habit of studying.

Why us

Our niche is narrow and easy to explain: languages, interview preparation, professional terminology. The product is not tied to a subject — the same card mechanics serve both a vocabulary list and medical terms, so extending the catalogue does not mean rewriting the core. Filling it does not rest on manual work either: cards are assembled from text or from a photo of a textbook page.

What already works

This is not a pitch for an idea. The learning core with its review schedule works, so does card generation from text and photos, side-by-side audio, a catalogue of ready-made topics with subscriptions, card statistics and browser reminders. Payment runs through Stripe, and the site pages are maintained in four languages.

How the product earns

The core is free, the money comes from a Pro subscription with monthly and half-yearly plans. The second loop is the affiliate programme: a visit through a referral key stays with the partner for thirty days and takes effect once the person registers. Language schools are a separate channel we are planning, and there is already a page for that conversation.

Where the investment goes

Developing AI deck generation, extending the topic catalogue, a mobile app and a content team for new languages and subject areas.

What it is built on

The Symfony backend is split into six independent modules: learning, AI, accounts, billing, affiliates and pages. The AI part is an engine for multi-step processes with queues per modality, so a stalled audio provider does not block card generation. The Nuxt frontend stays a thin layer: it presents, while the backend decides.
